Power Plant :

Advanced Control Concepts

Selva LLC introduced advanced control concepts in the existing DCS system for a 400MW 2800PSIG gas fired boiler. The plant which is a peaker, was ramping at 4 MW/min. The superheat temperature swing was +/- 30 degF in steady state and can go worse to +/- 60 degF during ramp. With the advanced control concepts, the plant achieved a ramp rate of 6 MW/min and the superheat temperature swing was +/- 4 degF in steady state and less than +/- 15 degF during the aggressive ramping.

Selva LLC has introduced many advanced control concepts in various power blocks, that helped the plant to save energy and get into aggressive power trade.

Oil and Gas :

Safety Configuration

Selva LLC has migrated Allen Bradley PLC5 to Prosafe RS for Fire and Gas system. During this migration we developed safety templates, strictly following the guidelines of SIL2 requirements. Our experience with safety system design, configuration and implementation is vast.

Polyester Plant :

Selva LLC has improved the spinning section in a polyester plant by modifying the PLC logic to work in sync with the drives. We have also modified the polymer chemical process control based on mass balance. We believe in single button operation both in spinning and polymer section and achieved the same.

Batch programming :

Selva LLC has expertise in batch programming and have implemented for resin plants, pharmaceutical industries with Honeywell, Yokogawa and Bailey system.

Migration :

Selva LLC is an expert in migrating relay based or obsolete PLC based controls to state of art system. Our philosophy is to duplicate 100% of the current system to the new system, including the operator graphics. There are many success stories where our customers feel happy about our migration methodology. We have done migrations in Allen Bradley, GE Fanuc, Siemens, Modicon, Tejin Seki, Moore, maxDNA, Bailey, ABB Advant, Yokogawa and Honeywell systems.

Modeling :

Selva LLC has modeled 800 MW pulverized coal fired boiler for operator training, using Protrax. Selva LLC has experts who have knowledge on different modeling software available in the market. We understand the customer requirement and provide the best suitable model that is required.

Selva LLC has customized the AutoCAD Electrical application to many leading corporates like Siemens, Duke, Schneider, GE to name a few.
